Cath Kidston Pillowcases
This was one of the fastest sewing dresses I made this summer, and gave most girls trot. The pattern is the classic pillowcase dress, which is so called because the old way with a pillowcase. Simply cut the shape of the armhole, was finished with a hem and inserted a loop to attach it to the shoulders. I was intrigued when I saw the model on the blog of Anna Maria Horner. I followed your tutorial and I was very friendly. This is one of the quickest projects I made last summer. I WAS intrigued by the popular pillowcase dress so when i found Anna M Horner tutorial I HAD to make one. I did not use a pillowcase though, But a soft cotton fabric ikea That Gave the volume But Gathered dress nicely. On the Internet there are many other tutorials for this dress. They all follow the basic principle of joining two rectangles and a hem top to insert the tape. The ones I saw I liked because they were too long and little purses, and really seemed pillowcases. I tried to make it more attractive to the length above the knee, long furrows and two good ties fuchsias, the widest was in the haberdashery!. There are lots of tutorials to sew this dress, and share all of Them the Same principle. Just two rectangles With A top casing to insert the ribbon. But the ones I Had a lenght Came across'm not fond of, just below the knee. Many Did not Have Enough And gathering for my like. So my version is short and very very Gatherer. Could not resist i also the cuteness of the classic hot pink ribbons. Not if you will remember from "The Princess and the Pea", for here is "finally after a year "!!!!, . . . . better late then yes, I used the beds as you will see that I said Ikea but painted pink, and no, I did the 5 mattresses (10 in total because I did 2 beds!). . .
